KIA X NADAL

I keep seeing more and more cool videos on LinkedIn and I occasionally blurt out, ‘I storyboarded that!’

This happened the other day when I saw the incredible Kia x Nadal film ‘A Mark Made’ by KODE. It was an amazing project to work on and truly collaborative effort with Director Mike Lee Thomas. Mike had a very clear vision of what he wanted so I had to slightly adapt my style to capture all of the specific elements:

✅Dramatic shadows
✅Dynamic angles
✅Heavy textures
✅Small depth of field

It was a challenge at first (change always is!) but I pride myself on being adaptable, agile and delivering exactly what my clients need. And I’m so happy with how the final boards turned out.

Seeing the finished film reminded me that it’s not just about the lighting, angles and textures. It about the sensations and emotion that it delivers. On this occasion, Mike and the rest of the team absolutely aced it 🎾😬 Huge thanks to Neil Edson for getting me on board.
